From Christchurch City (15 minutes):
Take the Lyttelton Tunnel road through the Port Hills. Upon emerging in Lyttelton, continue down Norwich Quay, then turn right onto London Street. The British Hotel is a prominent heritage building on your left.
Public Transport:
The #28 bus runs regularly between Christchurch and Lyttelton. Alight at the Lyttelton Library stop on London Street, and we're just a short walk away.
Parking:
Street parking is available on London Street and surrounding areas. There's also a public car park on Canterbury Street, just a 2-minute walk from the bar.
Note: The Commoners Bar is located in the basement of the British Hotel. Look for our signage at the entrance, and enjoy your descent into history!
